   Locust Lane Herefords is operated by the Dermody family. While being generations deep in agriculture, the current farm consist of Dave and Wife Brenda, with their son Chris and Wife Kristine. Chris and Kristine welcomed the start of another generation on July 11, 2022 with their son Landon.  

   LLH is located on 150 acres in Linwood, NY.  Linwood is part of the scenic Genesee Valley. An area rich in agriculture, while just minutes from so many small historical towns and scenic attractions such as Letchworth state park.   
 Our family originally farmed in Bergen NY, until 1993 when Dave and Brenda purchased the current farm in Linwood. With two sons the older son Matt and younger son Chris being just a year old at the time the operation focused around the breeding and raising of Belgian draft horses, growing wheat, hay and renting out a large portion of the farm for crop production. While both Matt and Chris showed horses, it was apparent that Chris's true passion was rooted in the cattle business. The first two registered Hereford females arrived on the farm in 2000. At age 8 Chris began what is now LLH from these two females. While adding a female here and there from some prominent breeders, the herd was and still to this day is built on the 365 day process of studying bulls and cow families to make the best possible mating's. Our main goal is creating high quality breeding stock and top of the line beef for your family!!
